As awesome as they were 34 years ago with Pink Flag. Perhaps even better, maybe a little less experimental, but still a kaleidoscope of music equal to the best acid trip you can imagine. Wire are the Prometheus Society of music.
The music has elements of Pink Flag (the song) and Culture Vultures, so I guess they are looking back to their very early stuff again.
I dunno, the way they used to do it was quite stripped-down and direct which was really startling at the time. They wouldn't have been saying 'I remember...' like there was some sentimentality attached to what was being said. I guess people move on and change without realising it, (but that ain't a bad thing)
