@Taylor40667 cool thank you for the reply - how much does that sort of thing cost?
-
@shinraninja If you are doing an engine swap put the 2 litre st engine in, ou will also need st geaarbox. But if you have this 1.25 or 1.4 or 1.6 an "57 i k and n induction" added on my 1.25 induction kit 8bhp. So i now have 82, i also have an average of 2 more mpg and I can definatel tell the difference in power compare to normal 75bhp, and a good noise after 3000rpm so there isent a defaning noise all the time like an exhaust best of both worlds. I

@Taylor40667 You are wasting your money. The best spark plugs are the ones from a ford garage. Best exhaust the same, as for K&N - are you mad? The oversized paper filter has a surface area of 13ft and supplies more air than a car can use at full RPM. A K&N has a surface area of 1ft so the holes are 13times bigger allowing dirt in to damage the engine. You will not notice 6BHP and do you WANT a slower car by spending out on parts that are not suited to the car? You're a victim of sales people.

Well done for slowing your car down - stick it on a rolling road and you will soon find standard is better! Stop being conned by companies that target boy racers and use clever sales teams and misleading descriptions to SELL. That's all they care about - getting money in. How many boy racers complain once they realise they have been conned. If you do you will find that the company gets out of it by giving a definition of the adverts, how you interpret that is up to you! STANDARD=FASTER, try it
ive got a 1.25 16v zetec im wondering what benefit it is to get one of these cars to go like that over getting a higher engine car like 2L or 1.8L ? as i dont have a clue about cars anyway but doesnt a bigger engine mean faster car ? so a modded bigger engine car would show more benefit - either way modding that car wouldnt the fuel consumption go like a rocket too?

@shinraninja get a bigger engine if you can. you get more torque.

Can you definately tell a difference with all these modifications. I have ordered 57 i Induction kit, and the denso spark plugs (£10 Each X 4 The best spark plugs availble for this car), and a miltech exhust. I have also seen a tuuning company offering 6 bhp more for £249, but i dont think thats worth it. I want to make it have the 89bhp Min. Can you tell the difference?

@Taylor40667 there is some difference but don't expect it to go like a rocket. mine just got a powerchips upgrade this summer and it should have around 82-83 hp.
do you have the same engine like I do? the 1.25 16 valves that is
you can also go for kent cams and after that you can remap the engine. you should be around 90-95 hp after that.
regards.

@alex2005tsr You have a very simple boy racer view of cars. Learn about engines, filtration, gasflow etc. Then you might realise noise doesn't mean power. If you take the engine beyond design specifications and tolerances it will break. On the fiesta, like most cars, standard is best for performance. If aftermarket products did anything, the factory would fit them. The truth is they don't. Car makers spend millions on research, boy racers listen to resellers who WANT MONEY. You must be young!
