This event was a party that took place in 1960's Taiwan. Originally there was no plan to perform, but someone just happened to have a camera and the fun began. In this video you will see boxers such as Su Yuchang (who performs mantis) and Hung Yihsiang.

  • Amazes me such stupid coments from most of comentarists. THE SIMPLICITY, THE PURITY AND THE QUALITY OF THE KUNG FU FORMS, THE HUMBLE ATMOSPHERE, THE REDUCED SPACE AND THE ELEGANCE OF THE MASTERS DRESSED IN SUITS. GRAND MASTER Liu Yuen Chiao WAS THERE AND SIFU SU YU CHANG, AND OTHERS. THIS VIDEO IS A HISTORICAL DOCUMENT, AND THANKS TO THEM THAT DEDICATED PART OF THEIR LIVES TO STUDY KUNG FU, MANY OF US CAME IN CONTACT WITH THESE TEACHINGS. MY RESPECT TO ALL ALFREDO ZURITA VENEZUELA

  • It's good to see real Kung fu. This was great. Many thanks to you.

  • """""""""""WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG.????... PLEASE MAN... I NEED KNOW IT ... or if is posible tell me the band or something about this song

  • and no its not obselete, you cant use gun all the time in war, there is still close combat my teacher knows it works because he used what he learned when he was a soldier in the US army during Vietnam, and he proved himself it works well. There is no such thing as obsolete only people like you.

  • @IronJackalTw i know its a 3 year reaply late but heres why, Judo was made in 1882 made for sport, Kendo is a sport of sword fighting like fencing, taekwon do had many influences in it but it was changed to a sport yes, as for kung fu it has a competetive side, but the ones you see in the video is not a sport and reason we wont let it go is because this art is thousands of years old first recorded at 500 ad but known to be earlier, and so its too precious just to let go,

  • Although the chin na guys probably had the most experience through their training, somewhat like an infantile jujitsu session. Of course they would have found it easy to subdue skinny, non athletic opponents in a time when people were more worried about eating than having their daily protein milkshake. They of all posess most ability, and it reflects the reality of contact training.

  • I'm sorry but they just aren't any good at all, it is nice to see the video in a way, refreshing I find it. They had no internet or mass media or access to youtube in those days and clearly didn't really test anything they did and so all this nonsense was spawned from what was probably a few fundamental ideas. Can't really blame them, but you have to admit it for what it is. And anyone who apes their fluidity or ability obviously has no eye for either reality or critical appraisal.

  • When I see that the children are performing with kungfu uniforms then I would say that was such a good arrangement == a kungfu rendez-vous, and that was exactly how kungfu party was held in that century, very precious clips, thank you much for sharing DPGDPG

  • WORDS CANNOT CONVEY MY GRATITUDE TO THOSE WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO SEE THIS SERIES OF VIDEOS.

  • have everyone notice, through out the video there are no flashy moves u see on wushu.

  • Let me revise my comments to IronUrkelTV. There is no shame in being ignorant, but why advertise that fact to the world? I know real MMA fighters of the kind you idolize, that have no problem respecting traditionalists. But then, they are serious about what they do, and don't have to prove it.
