  • Thanks for the encouragement and the tips! Yes, having someone to do it with is very motivating!

  • Thats really cool that your boyfriend did that with you. My boyfriend has an amazing thyroid/metabolism and he can pretty much eat anything he wants and not gain weight. And he is a VERY picky eater and it just doesn't seem to work out that way. I'm working on him though... I got him addicte to Hibachi and he had never tried that til a couple weeks ago!

  • Thanks for the comments! Its fine with me that you wrote so much. I understand what you are saying about the chips and granola. I just used it as an example for when I'm stressed. Bc When I'm stressed I would eat that many granola bars to take my mind off the stress....or I will only eat one time a day of bad things with the same amount of calories....if that makes sense!?!? It did to me...lol

  • I've been on several diets, and have been failed all except a low carb diet. At the advice of a trainer I cut out simple carbs, and beefed up the protein ( no pun intended)

    A sample menu was

Breakfast: an apple or other fruit and a bag of lunch meat (usually turkey )

Lunch: some kind of fruit and/or protein for lunch (some times the same as breakfast.)

Dinner: 3 hamburger patties(w/ketchup & H57), with veggies and/or baked potato w/butter and sour cream.

    I lost 87 lbs. within 5 mo.

  • YOU DONT HAVE TO EAT WHAT HE EATS!

  • I LIKE TO RUN OR WALK FAST FOR 30 OR 50 MINS!

START OFF SMALL THEN WORK YOUR WAY UP.

I WILL CONTINUE TO POST VIDEOS OF TIPS TO HELP EVERYONE OUT WHOM HAVE A HARD TIME LOSING WEIGHT, BUT IF U REALLY WANT TO LOSE IT U HAVE TO FOLLOW WHAT IM DOING BC IT WORKS! IVE DONE IT IN THE PAST AND MY MOM HAS TOO! i GAINED IT BACK BC I WAS IN COLLEGE AND DIDNT PUT TIME IN TO WORK OUT AND WATCH WHAT I ATE, SO NOW I GRADUATED AND NOW BACK ON THE PLAN. YOU CAN KEEP IN TOUCH AND WE WILL DO IT TOGETHER!

  • Hello, my mom has a thyroid problem as well, the best adviCE i can give u actually works EXTREMELY well. I lost 30 lbs last summer from this, and past it on to my mom and it has worked for her. 1-Eat healthy-weight watchers is a good way to watch how many calories you take in and u can eat almost anything, but the healthier u eat , the more weight youll lose.

    2-WATER! STAY AWAY FROM SODA!

3-RUN OR WALK AT A FAST PACE GO ON A TREADMILL OR TO THE PARK OR AROUND YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

  • Another point: granola bars aren't a great example because they are often meant as a meal replacement so they have lots of calories. Fresh veggies, on the other hand, don't.

Finally, try watching collab channels and/or joining the weight loss community on YouTube if you're not already doing so. It's great motivation/inspiration.

Sorry for writing so much, it's just that I feel I can relate to your issues so I have a lot to say about them :) Good luck!

  • Also, there IS a difference between 2000 calories of granola bars and 2000 calories of chips. 1) It's much faster to get there with chips... you'd really have to try to eat that many granola bars. 2) Even if you don't lose weight, you will FEEL better when you eat healthy food. And feeling better often amounts to being more motivated to diet.

  • Hey! I'm on a weight loss journey too, and I just watched your first two videos. You asked for comments, so here goes! :)

When I met my boyfriend all he ate was frozen pizza. We ate out and gained weight together. But I've asked him to support me in my weight loss and now he's really enjoying eating healthy with me. Now we spend the weekends cooking (learning to cook) together. It does take a lot of time sometimes, but it's so worth it! I know it's hard to fit in, but it won't hurt to try.
