For decades, the collectivist way of life in Israel's Kibbutzes attracted thousands of volunteers. But now, the country's original Kibbutz is bowing to the winds of market forces.
Kibbutz Degania inspired hundred of other kibbutzes. "Everything was shared. That was the utopia", describes resident Tamar Gal-Sarai. But younger residents resented being paid a set allowance, regardless of how much work they did. Many left for the city. Now Kibbutz members have voted to ditch the collectivist philosophy and pay people for the work they do.

@SPlayfair100 there are 13 million Palestinian people around the world, only 5 100 000 still in Palestine/Israel, why do the majority of Palestinians live outside? of course because they were forced by an Israeli court order (just like me) or by dirty wars, I am not alone, right now , no Arabs in Western Jerusalem, all of them are in the east, the israeli government are evacuating the Arabic region GRADUALLY, the Judaization of Jerusalem project is in success but it takes time. God bless

@georgenaser, the "particular piece of real estate" in question here is the property now called "Kibbutz Degania" (*not* a house in Jerusalem).
When was your house in Jerusalem occupied? Did someone force you to leave the house at gun point? What happened? I'm asking these questions because I know many Arabs are still live in and around Jerusalem and were not forced to evacuate their homes. If you were treated unjustly, I pray that justice for you will eventually and ultimately prevail.

@SPlayfair100 I was born in Jerusalem, all of my ancestors lived and died in Palestine, my house has been occupied and I was forced to travel far from Palestine> is this enough?

@georgenaser, what makes this particular piece of real estate, your land? Did you purchase the property or farm this land or build these buildings?
