I don't know those details: I contracted out for the mobile sandblastin service. However, the guy told me that he used what was called 'black beauty'. He's done many chasis and it won't eat away the metal like most of the other materials would. I t does a little.

Nice equipment and gear but his technique is inefficient. I've blasted for 20 years. Your better off turning the pressure down and getting closer for more accuracy/less waste.

Nice to see someone with the right gear and know how blast this. Not alot on youtube imo. His press is powerful enough to blast almost anything, there are bigger in use for blasting at shipyards but its cumbersome do drag those 1000+cfm`s around. This is Xas 230 - 13,4m³ 8 bar thats 473cfm.

I am out in the country, nobody to bother me or watch me. had mobile sandblasting service show up and do the job. I have this happen about every 3-4 years.

Is it grit or sand being used?

Its a grit: per contractors specs. I use his mobile service for restoration of exterior brick and stone walls, some pool remodels...
