Christmas 1989 at The Cory Mansion--Part 3

Evan sits on the steps with Amanda and Alli and shares candy canes with them. This is the sight that greets Sam when he walks in. When Amanda sees Sam, she picks Alli up and hurries over to him. Sam kisses Alli hello, then brings in the huge box containing her gift. Sam tells Rachel it's good to see her home, and Rachel replies that it's good to see Sam home too. Ada asks Alli what she supposes is in this great big box, and Sam opens it and pulls out a huge teddy bear for Alli. Alli is delighted with the bear, which makes Sam and Amanda happy, and also puts smiles on the faces of Ada, Rachel, Olivia, and Matt. Matt, however, is not happy to see Olivia hovering near Sam, Alli, and Amanda. Matt says if Josie had any doubts before about Olivia... Aunt Liz then announces it's time to call Russ, so Olivia and Josie go with her to make the call, Josie wishing Evan a merry Christmas when she passes by him. Iris tells Evan it's just a temporary setback, and to never mind, because the day is young. Lucas admits to Iris that when he looks at Alli, all he can think of is everything he missed with his little girl. When Iris says she can't imagine Lucas as a daddy, Lucas firmly says that if he'd had the chance, nothing would have come between him and his kid. Ada is glad that Sam shows up, but Rachel tells Ada that she knew he would. Felicia and Mitch arrive then, and Felicia and Rachel exchange smiles.
