Robin Gates is a Certified Trainer of the Carolyn Resnick Method. In this video, Robin works with a 3 yr old Oldenburg named "Paulo" early in his training. Prior to his work with Robin, Paulo was highly fearful and extremely difficult to manage. This video shows how this method can create a deep connection and a true "Working Bond"
you criticizers are impatient people too uptight to get this anyway.....flunk out please

Interesting comment Rockinghorsefrm....to get this kind of connection with a horse requires that you let the horse have his turn and his say. In this video his say is he would rather hang out with Robin. To get this kind of connection I'm sure he had plenty of say. The training if not for the horse to be a horse but for you to think more like the horse. The point is for you to partner, not be a bully. The negative response is just very interesting to me, sad, but interesting none the less.

Horses play with eachother this way, and as you can see there is no confinement, the horse can just say "I don't want to." He is playing with her, and enjoying it :)

....so when is it the horses' turn in this "game". It is very clear the horse is 'trained' to behave this way. Rewarded for good behavior. Kept in his place. What is the point? It is time to stop 'training' the horses to be horses.

This is really beautiful, but I'd also love to see him bend to the OUTSIDE instead of constant bending to the inside. It appears this horse is still doing circles, much as lunging. the circling seems a false brake whereas a turn away would show the true connection.

hi there, this is very beautiful, it is a pleasure to watch. Paulo is very similar to my dutch warmblood. very charismatic.
