This is my favorite Al Stewart tune. I love the way he contrasts the downfall of President Warren G. Harding with the rise of the 20th century immigrant. Just brilliant. I have had the pleasure of seeing the incredibly unique and talented Al Stewart in concert, but I never saw him play this before. Thanks for this wonderful treat!
I have loved Al Stewart's songs since I was in high school in the 1970"s. I never saw him in concert until several years ago at the Phila Folk Festival. He was the highlight of the 3 day concert for me. His singing, playing, storytelling & song choices were so good & the crowd seemed to love him. I could't wait to see him again when he perfomed locally. (con't)
