Man O' War, the greatest horse of all time. My favorite racehorse.

If Secretariat is so great, why was the original Big Red named the greatest racer of the 20th century? Please don't hate, I know this vid sucks. It's like my first one lol.

First the video is nice only. opinionated for sure. !st, the audio is offensive. When I think of Man o War, rap music isnt a good addition. 2nd, factually ManoWar sired many great horses. And last, he was one of the greatest, lets get this straight, not the greatest. Yes he won every race. Yes a champion. Yes a Triple Crown winner. But when you say Man O War in Greatest terms, one cant ignore the relevance of Secretariat and his accomplishments. world speed records still stand today!

@80cathryn yeah my comp changed the audio and i redid this video. Also get your facts straight. He was not a triple Crown winner. And he won a race by 100 lengths. Did Secretariat do that? And why is Man O' War the top racehorse of the 20th century? Hmm I wonder. Sec might as well have been a lego brick.

Man o war had nothing on secretariat. I love mow but sec had a bigger stride faster times an ran with real horses. Mow had no competition making him look better.

Secretariat lost 5 races. He never carried weight over 129 lbs.  Man o' War carried 130 lbs many times as a two year old, which is unheard-of. He carried 138 lbs and won at 3. Man o' War was named "Horse of the Century" for a reason.

For all the people that think MOW had inferior times By the 1970's racetracks were 3 to 4 seconds faster to the mile. The 1973 Belmont WAS SO BLAZING FAST BECAUSE THE TRACK HAD BEEN SCRAPED FOR A WEEK PRIOR TO THAT RACE. There were several records set that week. You want speed? How about a 1/4 mi workout the day before MOW last race in a time of 20 2/5sec. Add 3 seconds to MOW's times and see what happens. He was never pushed. He won so easily and SHATTERED records without even trying.

first of all, man o' war was a great horse. But he has NOTHING on secretariat. Back then he had no competition and his times arent as good as secretariats..... numbers dont lie and his 100 length win was great but its easy to win when your a horse born ahead of your time and have no competition.

The American arrogance and ignorance is famose . If a horse wins in USA, without ever leaving his country, , it automatically becomes the best in history. Out of Your Truman Show , out the Hollywood movies , in the real world, everyone knows ..the best horse ever (gallop) is the Italian " RIBOT ", the best trotter ever is Italian " VARENNE " the best jockey ever is the Italian " FRANKIE DETTORI." All people can check these names on internet and make an assessment of the results.
