Manila Downtown YMCA proudly presents "IBYANG, A Philippine Journey". This musical folktale will bring us to a colorful journey of an enchanting Babaylan, who's life celebrates the courage of the Filipino spirit. IBYANG is a story of love, of sacrifice and hope.
This rare musical treat is a showcase of genuine collaboration of song, dance and drama. IBYANG's original folktale celebrates the diversity of our Philippine music by breathing new life into original tribal chants, popular folk songs and timeless Kundimans. With charming and edgy new arrangements, and an array of vocal acrobatics, this show will surely be enjoyed by the old and especially the young generation of today.

MDYMCA is proud to bring together two celebrated performing groups, on its first original and collaborative work-- MAHARLIKA, a group of the most prominent classical singers in the country and Internationally acclaimed dance theater and six time world prize winner, The Bayanihan, The National Folk Dance Company of the Philippines.
