Uh, doesn't the 1st amendment give the teacher the right to make offensive comments about religion? Of course it's inappropriate and he should be disciplined by the school system, but he has a right to say it, and the school has a right to fire him.

@thegreatest94 I think STUDENTS talking ABOUT religion outside of a classroom is fine. I have no prob with that. I think students PUSHING their beliefs (aka WITNESSING) is not to be done inside the school walls because you're there to learn the sciences and arts. Do it after school. Jesus.... are you that greedy? Teachers should NEVER push their religion in a classroom. They should be sensitive that not everyone is a bible thumper. I taught college for almost 3 years as an atheist.

@TruthSurge How many Schools do that you can't show faith in school you can't talk about religion at a graduation. at my brothers graduation they picked a math teacher (the students did) and he talked about life after high school with religion thrown in a few times the the superintendent then released a statement about how he would now be looking over every speech and fining the teacher FOR WHAT?!?! your may ask oh i guess you can't have free speech if you christian in FREE america

of course FAUX news is going to take ONE instance and blow it up as if it's happening in thousands of schools every day. but what they don't tell you is how many schools are shoving religion down kids' throats every day.
