Good day to you Miss Haitian

  • AKATA means "A cat that is not home" in Yoruba...basically it means "Africans that are not HOME aka AFRICA"

  • @PrinceNoirAmericain like us black from the caribbean speak are african language culture after slavery , i think that why they lil mad at your your get mad when they call your that but your call each other nigga but that ok im confuse. i hear different meaning of that word akata i dont think they mean it in a mean way they feel your white wash and need to learn more about your african roots more that all u dont see them mad at us caribbean we there fav.

  • akata means ghetto.. chill out bruh...

    get outta your feelingssss.

  • It means a cat that doesn't live @home like a wild cat, tiz used 2 reference mostly African Americans as they are considered Africans by all but the fact that they don't live in Africa make them akata while those of us who live @home can be considered as Ologbo (cat). Its no different 4rm an African American calling his buddies"cat" d Yorubas recognize d fact that this is a cat that isn't @home.even africans that travel overseas r called Akata when they go back home...it ain offensive so chilout

  • @53Africa, your avatar is the same avatar used by a crazy African that follows me around Youtube making stupid comments about African-Americans. You seem to be using multiple avatars.

As far as your comment, regardless of how Nigerians see themselves, they are not viewed positively by other groups around the globe. Ask a Japanese how they view Nigerians. Ask a Chinese how they view Nigerians. Ask Ethiopians and many other groups how they view Nigerians; you'll get a negative perception.
