@fgs9 I have a boa(1 year old) and shes very loving towards me but if i touch her near the head she doesn't like it..How do I get her use to letting me hold her head and touch it?
Snakes are instinctively head shy. If you do things to a snake that it doesn't like, they will feel threathened. A snake that feels threatened cannot be trusted. I was going to answer your original question by saying don't do what they don't like, that includes touching their heads.
How did you keep big mama so mellow?

@fgs9 So I should just leave her head alone? I was just wondering because big mama doesn't seem to mind it.

In time your snake will probably be more tolerant about having its head touched.
