@williamwilbur This is a TOGA thrust take off, engines are at their maximum capacity. A take off will normally be done with FLEX thrust which means engines will only be at about 80-90% of their power for take off. Only time a take off will be done at full power is if the plane is at MTOW, short runway or if the runway is wet, covered with snow etc.

Why do you fly US Airways so much? I've had terrible experiences the last couple of times ive flown with them and US Airways Express

@N605JB They've really never given too many problems. I'm from Philly so I built up a good bit of miles on them.

that's such a fast takeoff. were you guys delayed or something ? A pilot doesn't usual spool the engines with brakes on unless its a short runway haha.

@alex9734 no delays at all. Orange County does have quite a short runway.

@mah584jr so they put one of the biggest planes in the world, on a runway only about a mile long. WHY?
