We have absurdly high insurance because people stand in the spots like you were and some how end up dead (through freek accidents)Yes this is why no amatuers are allowed to take photo's. And until the mid 2000's NO spectators or workers were killed at a rally in america. As a matter of fact I think there are still less than 10 driver/co driver fatalities in rallying. Thats really low don't make rally a thing of the past Use your head, especially when you are marshalling.

Yes, everything someguy325es says is true. He wasn't trying to get that close. Every other car came at least 25 feet away until this. We are lucky, yes, but I stand by the phrase shit happens.

No it was a course marshal point on stage 15.

Please keep in mind that I wasn't trying to get that close. He came very wide on that corner. Needless to say after that I stepped back about 10 feet!
