Stacelita's a difficult filly to gauge. At times she looks really brilliant, and at times she's been very disappointing. Disappointing in her 2010 debut when she was well beaten by Goldikova, Byword, and Wiener Walzer in the Prix D' Ispahan, and very disappointing in the Hong Kong Cup. But she looked brilliant in the Nassau Stakes, the La Coupe, the Prix Jean Romanet, and the Prix De l' Opera.

Never thought I'd live to see a worse D.Q. than the one I saw when the French stewards disqualified Dar Re Mi in the 09' Prix Vermielle, and declared Stacelita the winner. But I'll have to admit. The disqualification that the Japanese stewards hung on Buena Vista, stripping her of the 2010 Japan Cup, far exceeds the Prix Vermielle D.Q.

@dessiesdoneit, Stacelita may been 2 lengths better in the Prix Vermille. But Dar Re Mi was CLEARLY the best mare in the race that day. I'm 50 years old. And have followed racing all over the world for most of my life. Disqualifying Dar Re Mi that day was one of the most disgraceful D.Q.'s I've ever seen in racing in my lifetime. She swamped Stacelita in that race. Also ran much better than Stacelita in the 09' Arc. No way Stacelita beats the Sheema Classic field that Dar Re Mi beat. JMO.

Goldikova sure made Stacelita look like an allowance filly in both's first start of the 2010 season in the Prix d' Ispahan. It's not likely, IMO, that Stacelita is going to fair much better against Daryakana either should they face later in the season. IMO.

if this is the stacelita who turns up on sunday she will go close but sea the stars mite be unbeatable. she was probly 2 lengths better than the dar ri mi race and on that form she has a chance.

that was explosive, on at 16s e/w n a 100 a win at 5s for the arc, gawnny be sum race with fame and glory and sea the stars(hopefully not as im on the french filly), stacelita and sariska, fling in conduit, vision de tat, tartan bearer and the course specialist youmzain. could be a GREAT arc but im not getting my hopes up after manduro,s injury when he would have held dylan thomas off with ease, the great races dont always happen, injuries, ground etc
