I honestly think that Barbara has a right to say it in a controlled, respectful environment, when she is reporting. Sherri needs to realise this, however at the same time we don't know her story, her experience with the word, or her past regarding it.

Sherri has proven over and over again that she is not an educated person and this video proves it. Barbara was not "using" the word, she was stating a fact. Even Whoopie was trying to explain this to Sherri, but Sherri either wasn't hearing or wasn't comprehending. There are two reasons I hardly ever watch that show. 1) Hasstlebeck, can't stand her. She's ignorant and cuts people off (my top pet pieve). 2)Sherri. I am embarrassed for her, because of some of the things that she's said.

Obviously Whoppi got that it was about context. She also respected Barbara Walters as a person from past experience knowing full well, that there was nothing to be remotely alarmed about. Shepherd on the other hand, played her latent racist cards against the most professional, iconic female journalist in the medium's history (and will forever be) who is also her employer. You can tell Walters was RIGHTLY offended. This should be Shepherd's last year enjoying The View.
