Rockers Galore

ROCKERS GALORE aka The Class Assassins deliver the music and message of the only band that mattered, played faithfully and with conviction by a seasoned, street-wise, hard rocking group of Toronto-based musicians.

ROCKERS GALORE is NOT a 'clone' band or 'tribute' act and we don't aspire to be - we perform these great songs for the sheer love of it!

ROCKERS GALORE love to play for those who are old enough to remember buying The Clash records when they first came out or for those lucky enough to have seen them live during their too short existence as a group. We also love to play to the generations that have since followed, those who have drawn inspiration from Strummer and company and of course, for those who are hearing this incredible music for the first time.

Partly inspired by former Mescalero Pablo Cook's UK-based 'Los Mondo Bongo' Strummer tribute, Rockers Galore was initially assembled by 2010 JUNO award-winning reggae vocalist Prince Blanco to launch his project 'Shatter The Hotel: A Dub Inspired Tribute to Joe Strummer' in Canada, a project that benefits the Strummerville charity.

Along with Blanco, Rockers Galore features a stellar band of veterans from the Toronto rock'n'roll, street-punk and hardcore scene (Class Assassins, Hockey Teeth, Direct Action, Problem Children) and includes Chris Farr, Dan Farr (guitars), Dave Cornelius (bass) and Gary Cozocar (drums). As a result, the Rockers Galore setlist tends to lean more toward the harder hitting side of the Clash canon as opposed to the funk and dub inspired material of the Sandanista and Combat Rock era.
