This pageant was a cheat...Paj Zaub's parents have connection with the New Year Committee...so she already new her questions ahead of time...you'll notice how she didn't even wait to think her answer through, because she's already memorized it knowing what questions she's going to get. Same goes for her competing at Sacramento New Year, she was only 16 yrs old which didn't meet the criteria, but they still let her compete and win because her parents have connection with the new years committee.

@vuestachick that's not gut..they all just want fame..and title..i guess they want a position in hmong society and want to be recognize..if u want to set good example for hmong ppl. don't need to go to pagaent to do good services to the hmong ppl.i believe all the ppl. who enter in pagaent..are incompetence and overly confident to get fame..when they show their talent..some of them aint have any talent, some seem like they just practice their talent recently just for the competition.

I think the judge meant was, "What is the meaning of love in term of a People?" Otherwise she is asking for a translation. The speaker interpretation is just a paraphrase of the judge's question.
