Nice job but the brackets look a little small to handle that much load and the slats ok on bottom instead of top?

It's coming on nicely!
I think most deep-cycle batteries will have a gromet-filled hole somewhere around the top so that you can insert a tube and vent the gasses to the outside without the fuss of a vented box- I have this arrangement in my van - the tube vent via a hole in the large rubber grommet in the floor just below the rear door pillars. (I have the same van)
look up hydroponics on eBay for tubes and tube outlets, or windscreen washer fittings might also do the trick.

@camperkid300 True... except that if you call them out too much your membership can get "reviewed". It's essentially an insurance policy and insurers don't like too many claims!

Thanx 4 sharing, but from a safety point of view, the batteries should NOT be mounted underbed, more so if they are not sealed. If you can, mount the batt,s outside the living envelope, safefty first, batt gas if leaked is poison and highly explosive. I dont mean to nik pic , just thinking safety.

Fair comment, though, in a panel van it's quite difficult to mount them outside like a coachbuilt. What I intend to do is put the batteries in a sealed locker which will be vented to the outside.
As you rightly say hydrogen gas can be given off during charging. This is explosive if it builds up and is not vented. Another safety feature is a fairly expensive electronic charger which senses the voltage and prevents overcharging.
