  • IM NOT A FIGHTER IM JUST A COOK!!!!

  • @Mrx1alfa Hi there, glad you visited my videos and commented. Your absolutely correct! I am a cook, but to clarify, I am a retired fighter and now just a coach. I am former US National SanShou (Full Contact Chinese Kickboxing) champion and International SanShou Team coach, 2 bronze medals at the world in 1997. I now coach the Tenn & New Mex SanShou Teams and forming a Houston and Monterrey Teams. I also had 8 pro Boxing bouts between 92-94 my overall record was 16-2-1 10ko's, not bad for a cook?

  • Why didn't you include Flat Stance/Pu bu?

  • @asskickinkitchen my school calls it Hanging Stance. and we call "Forward Stance" "Arrow Stance"

of course i am in no way as talented as you.

although, i have never heard of this form. we do something called Tam Tui, which is also translated as "Spring Leg" but is completely different. hmm. conundrums conundrums, as i like to say.

  • @asskickinkitchen XD yup watch the movie shaolin jackie chan is . . . . . . . . . .. . THE COOK!!

  • @asskickinkitchen I've been doing kung fu for a few months now, and I've been given a list of the names of the stances. The rooster stance is a more proper translation, nevertheless the names of the stances change somewhat from one person to another. Here's the list for those interested. Horse Stance Hill Climb Horse Stance Lady Horse Stance Seven Star Horse Stance Cat Horse Stance Crushed Horse Stance Kneeling Horse Stance Butterfly Horse Stance Dropping Horse Stance Golden Chicken Horse Stance
  • @TheMartialartsJedi i believe that crane involves raising your arms as well

  • @TheMartialartsJedi YEP. The rooster stance..."Gin Gee Du Li" it is actually Golden Rooster Stands On One Leg..sometimes it is called the Chicken stance...every Chinese Martial Artist in the US or China I've known, calls it that it, it's pretty standard...usually just called "Du Li"...other nationalities may call it different names or a style may refer to a technique that uses the stance as crane..like in the Karate Kid...glad I could Help..Thanks for watching...

  • Amituofo! Very nice video, I am going to practice these steps that you ave shown, and will watch your other vids too. Thanks alot
