I've just left the police force after 8 years for exactly these reasons...I felt like a debt collector...nothing to do with helping people any more just about ticketing motorists, and locking people up 'cause it's easier' etc...

Hmm if this is really true and important, shouldn't other people post it too? Or maybe You could post it multiple times so more people see it?

I can find information, documented and not, that they are private companies. But maybe there is a good (not evil) reason for it. I don't know because i don't know my economics.
