Why would passengers get off, South Attleboro is only a commuter rail station, and he stopped in a hurry because he didnt want to have any problems once he got to providence

Ok, but that doesn't explain why he applied the brakes so hard. Was it because he wanted to stop at a platform in case passengers had to get off?

Uhh yes it did, I talked to the engineer, he was doing 45 MPH, thats quite fast, and he put it in supression
