During a speech at the Heritage Foundation, Sen. DeMint unveiled his jobs plan to stimulate real economic growth, spur investment and create nearly 18 million jobs over the next 10 years. Based on research by Heritage economists J.D. Foster and William Beach, the plan promotes long-term economic growth while permanently keeping billions of dollars -- immediately -- within the private sector in the hands of hard-working Americans who buy goods, provide services, start businesses, and hire employees.

  • Great Talk Jim. Let's hope you keep up your decent voting record.

  • Good advice. Thank You Senator Demint!! Please continue to hold your ground and ask Congress to take their time and think this through before acting!! We need to stop the outrageous spending that will burden our children and threaten our national security.

  • By no means do I support Obama's plan, but this guy seems to think we were born on inauguration day, I suppose the "stability" he is refering to is what we experienced under 8 years of Bush. I don't remember 7 million jobs created each year. Do you? I wonder how DeMint feels about the average $2.6 million paid to every executive at the first 116 banks that got taxpayer money under TARP. How do you feel about it? I wonder how many jobs were/will be created with these bonuses? U S of Amnesia

  • Between the TRUTH and a lie - any compromise can ONLY BE something less than the truth! Hats off to the house republicans for standing up for the truth and leaving house liberals holding the bag all by themselves for easy recall come November 2010. Let's hope it has some sort of affect on the Senate RINOS to tell them that their re-election may be in jeopardy if they don't represent conservative principles - which this PORK bill has nada.
