This man's name is Gary Stevens; he's won the Kentucky Derby and is a simply marvelous rider. In August of 2003, he won the Arlington Million on this stallion named Storming Home. This fall took place right after the finish line. Storming home is an extremely flighty horse and spooked at something in the infield. Mr. Stevens fell and was kicked in the head even before he hit the ground. A lung collapsed and he received hairline fractures to several different bones in his back...and he was riding in races again nineteen days later. This dude is simply amazing.

  • I strongly suggest watching this one in high quality.

  • I totally understand.. yet i am defending YOU who was told by that fuzzle person who "supposely knows EVERYTHING about horses just cuz she took one course in school." she dosnt know anything about horses unlike u and me. so im was just sick of it and got her attention to go away. exept like u said in an inpolite way. but im not gona look at unnessary comment fuzzle left...so i had to say something.

  • I can totally live with it; don't worry about it. I'm use to people ganging up on me. I'm the short kid with glasses. :D

  • his ears aren't flat back and just cuz a horse's ears are back does NOT mean ANYTHING!!! it just means that their attention is behind them. I've ridden plenty of horses who have had their ears back but yet were still really happy! Its not a horrible barabic sport its only certain ppl (trainers and owners) who would give tht impression!! Those horses are well taken care of and have the best of everything. Just out of curiosity where did u take a course on horse phsycology?

  • THTs SO TRUE!! THroughbreds just love runing n going fast its what they were bred to do and they love it!!. IF they didn't love it then they would just buck the jockey of well basically sayin F u. Plus Throughbreds mature kinda quickly cuz if they didn't then they wouldn't be able to ride them! Plus breakin in takes a while so they have to train the horse for bout a yr so its not like their rushin things.

  • What's your name? I suppose it's either Ashley, TC, Riley or Carlie....

  • he got spooked by the advertising signs near the finish line that were never there before. thats why he ran away from the rail and was trying to stay away from those signs cause they were new to him
