Need For Speed Most Wanted PS2 - Game Freezes & Cop Cars Fall From Sky

Playing Need For Speed Most Wanted on the PS2 causes some freezing at random times. At the beginning of the game the icons don't load correctly and during a race the game will freeze and say "Now Loading" then continue. Towards the end of my clip I am trying to outrun the cops and at some point the game doesn't let me drive on the freeway and keeps reloading my car while the cop cars start to fall from the sky and onto my car and pass right through me like a ghost. At the end of this clip the game freezes and I can no longer play and have to reset the PS2 and lose any data I haven't saved yet.
