Fuck, I remember I had just come back from picking grapes at the old mans vineyard for a few days, had sunburn, was feeling like shit, drove down the esplenade only to find a filthy big road block between me and home, then relised it was the St Kilda festival......I have hated it ever since :)

The festival attracts about 400,000 people and some locals like it too. But ajoining suburbs become a huge car park all day and sometimes vandalism and theft occurs but the drunks going back to their cars. For the other 354 days of the year St Kilda is a dive.
