No a rubicon is not necessary locking diffs are for people who whant to take the easy way out and never learn how to drive. I can take my jk unlited sport any where my friends with rubicons go because I can drive

Unfortunately the last i've heard about that place, is that cops patrol it on ATVs and if caught you get a fine and your vehicle towed away. Here are the GPS coordinates to the entrance (40.13871,-74.974754), but i'm not responsible if you get caught.
