I made this video in my backyard using special filters on my Telescope. It shows a solar prominence ejecting from the surface of the sun and crashing back down. The video spans around 2 hours.

  • Nice

  • To make such a long video you need a special telescope mount that turns with the earth rotation. Must be quite expensive for private hobby use if even available.

  • Does the image of the Earth in the corner represent an accurate size comparison?

  • @MichaelRobacker lol boi hold your horses :D

  • Boss awesome, I can't wait to get my hands back on a Coronado solar scope. The sun's activity makes me soooo excited. :-D

  • Nice !!!! Can you tell me how long and how many movies you folding together. Thanks

  • you dont use any telescope to take this images? So you are so successful
