After 4 weeks I test for my 1rm squat. I Only do 2 leg squats for test else single leg.

  • He did the first one correct by putting his hand on you hip and following you all the way, with that he will have full control to assist you even if you cant ask for help because of the pressure.

    His hands on top of the bar will not help with the squats, its only good for stability off and back on the rack.

    i love the sprints and i think you have enough power to step in that area

  • Very little depth on that squat, not sure why your trainer (I assume that is who the man spotting you is) has you doing such shallow squats.

  • @KILLUMINATI233 As a sprinter you want a good speedstrength/bodyweight ratio. So what you do is to improve your entire body´s neuromuscular coordination in order to recrute more of your muscle while moving = less dead weight and more speed. A deep squat will work more of your body´s muscle mass at once than this abomination of a lifting technique does. Also you can achieve a better training effect with less weight, thus less stress is put on your joints etc.

    Case closed.

    2 squat deeper

    3 remove pussy pad

  • quite okay for his bodyweight

  • go deeper, knees pass your hips for full squat.
