Nice kit! How much was the hi-hat? I may get a set but it comes without any cymbals. I at least need a hi-hat lol. Btw how is the drumming going?
-
great looking kit...I've been playing drums for about a couple years, but I can't afford any...I'm a decent drummer, I'm just really poor and too young to find a decent job...I always wanted these drums...anyway, good luck in learning!!!!!!

Could you tell me, does the Tom mount have the Gretsch logo written on both sides?
-
Hey, looks like a cool drums! But maybe you should put a blanket or something in your floor tom. It looks like a war drum. But the others toms are perfect!

Yes, The tom tom mounts do have the logo's on both sides.
Great because I'm a lefty and now feel more comfortable playing with a left-handed
configuration.

wow your bass drum sounds AMAZING !!!!!!!! how did u tune it ?
roryb10 1 year ago
@roryb10 Using four (4) tuning keys placed at the 12, 3, 6 & 9 o'clock position. I watched the Gretsch Tutorial video twice and followed their steps (except I turned 2 keys together, then the other two and finally moved all tuning keys to the next lug. this method is perfect for eight lug drums and worked great).
P.S. After all is said and done, and the heads are on evenly, it's still a matter of trial and error to find the sweet spot. I will Probably end up replacing these stock heads.
