Chicken Lo Mein Recipe - Chinese Food
Marinate:
1 small chicken breast chopped 1 - 1/2 in. pieces
1 teaspoon corn starch
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon cooking wine
1 teaspoon fish sauce

Boil 6 oz. rice noodles for 12 minutes - strain rinse

Sauce:
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Vegetables:
Broccoli
White onion
Sliced carrot
Napa cabbage
Bean sprouts

Stir fry:
3 cloves garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger
Add chicken cook until 75% done, remove
Add vegetables and then sauce, noodles and chicken
Add hot chili sauce to taste, a hand full of bean sprouts
Drizzle sesame oil one last stir and done.

Garnish with toasted sesame seeds

  • @divinechef I also notice that you use rice nodles to make this, but in your pork lo mein video you used egg noodles & had to make a little more sauce (an extra tbsp of hoisin sauce). So which noodles do you think is better to make lo mein with?

    Cooking with wine, like drinking wine can add another dimension to a recipe. Cultivating and enhancing flavors while accentuating textures are the main incentives for adding wines to recipes.

    Did you try the BBQ ( or roast ? ) goose from the Southern Chinese cuisine ? I'm not talking about the Peking duck.

    The dumplings with a little broth inside also taste really good, it's a cuisine from Shanghai.
