David Besnard has survived a horrifying accident at Griffiths Bend, Mount Panorama. On lap 113, the #17 Jim Beam Black Falcon collected the tyre wall at unabated speed, ripping open the fuel cell and setting off a huge fire.
It has been said but they did a great job getting him out. For anyone wondering it was later confirmed that he forgot to pump the pedal, i think due to a radio malfunction (not being able to remind him) and of course simply forgetting.
@crosshairs3 It would have been possibly a brake component from the rear of the car, they get extremely hot, and where the fire started is around where the back of the car slammed into the wall

Nigh on unparalleled courage from the track marshals... Top job fellas. Was great when the commentators mentioned their efforts as well.
