Everyone have their worlds. :) I am Deaf and I have a cochlear implant. Two years ago, the doctor and my parents asked me if I want another cochlear implant. That time, I was 17 years old...enough to make a decision. My reply is "No, I don't want it. One cochlear implant is enough. I am done with three surgery on my right ear." Well, I have two world Hearing and Deaf worlds. I love big world, not small world. Let those hard of hearing/Deaf people figure out what their world is. Love ur world

and also my doctor asked me to add other Cochlear Implant and i told doctor NO. it enough and i can hear around it and i don't need to add it up

You miss a point buddy. This kid signs very well and he has the understanding of both worlds. Same as me. He didn't miss anything like kids born deaf used to.
My parents are still working on sign after me being deaf/Deaf for 14 years. It's no easy task for hearing parents to learn sign. So kids of hearing adults are better off having the option of both worlds. Hey, I love my bicultural life"

@dancingbebe1234567 I think you missed a couple of very important points. Jack's narrative aside, the video itself is revealing. The parents said that they had no access to ASL. That is total BS- there are countless resources for hearing parents of deaf children. To claim that a cochlear implant was their only option is a BIG FAT LIE. It's a cover up for lazy parents who are scared of having a deaf child, and putting forth the necessary effort.

I am really curious as to what he is saying, but I do not know sign language. Can somebody help?

cheat!
I am very interested in what this young man has to say. Unfortunately, his video cannot truly speak to anyone who cannot understand sign language. I respect that he seems to have a message that could impact the hearing community and especially parents of deaf children, and would suggest that in future he include subtitles or text notations so that we can actually understand what he is saying. Otherwise he is pretty much preaching to the choir.

That video is not sad okay? It's happy those ci gave that boy a chance he otherwise ne'er would have been given! Maybe when he is an adult if he doesn't like them then he won't wear them! But don't exploit that family! He could now hear all the amazing sounds there is to hear! And by the looks of the video he was a pretty happy looking child if you ask me!
