Annie didn't deserve to die, but at least she made amends and had a clear conscience in the end, much worse than Nick O.D.-ing without thinking it through.
Stephen King yet again astonishes me, the director however, not so much.

It is frightening me how many comments say that she deserved to die. She really seemed to be willing to change and got no second chance... Even Nick as her victim saw that and has forgiven. So why are so many people eager to see her dead?
