@LuciusBalian yeah i agreed on that...even with extenal cooler still overheating is a main problem of this dv300 series.not good for gamers.

@Elba951 Yeah... laptops usually do this... i recommend to u get an external cooler/cooler table, don't blame the Pavilion for overheat.

I have the moonlight white and it does overheat the fan makes annoying noises, i really love the webcam on it but in general its great for little things.
ive had this laptop since october 2009 (not a long time) and now it wont really turn on i guess. and its not like i use it to download pron or anything i just use it for my itunes and minor photoshop & social networking ect.

Overheating can be solved with BIOS upgrade; my laptop used to make a lot of noise blowing fans during the start and often during operation, this changed after bios upgrade.
However, I not happy at all because the network card on my dv3t died after 6 months, renderig it useless. I'm not the only one, judging by the giggles from the customer service.
