Test Review:
L.R.Baggs Lyric vs Fishman Rare Earth Blend
Both compared to an AKG Perception 200 to have reference of the real thing.
The guitar is a Larrivee P09 (Parlor Guitar).
As i didn't like the sound of the Lyric, i did this to compare the sound of my new Lyric to my old Fishman Rare Earth Blend.
On the Fishman i'm using only the condenser side for this comparision to be fair.
There's no EQ, no Preamp and no Effects. It was recorded direct to the computer using Nuendo software.

I got the Lyric for my Larrivee Parlor, a very small guitar. And so far it didn't worked out. The lyric has a pretty extreme lowcut. I would have to try it on a bigger guitar but i guess the lack of low range frecuencies will be there no matter the guitar. I expected this mic to do better.
I've heard mostly good stuff about the Lyric. Sound is realistic cause it's a microphone, but the Lyric's preamp's EQ... i think it could have better setup. Or maybe i got a defective equipment from Baggs.
What do you think?!
