@TheDahlimi To access the old data, use a GOOD OS install and booting drive, and daisychain the old one via USB connecting adapter!! AH! Also, make it a close OS match if possible, then you can move files from the old non booting to the good NEW, larger drive!!
@grajaram Depends if you own a Windows disc for any files needed restored, OR you have a safely blocked HDD (RAID back up) or partition for saving uncorrupted data
My ACER ASPIRE ASSPIRES to greatness. Actually I'm on now, I have two hard disks for use with it, one is XP OS, the other is Vista Ultimate. The keyboard will need replacing soon though, since it takes an annual beating (4710 laptop Gemstone designed by BMW!)
hey man u need to restore your computer to factory dufult do this steps
First Shut Down your computer
then start your computer
Hold key Alt and then press F10 3 or 4 times
then it will see restore screen
and then click Restore System to Factory Default
it will take some times
DO NOT TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF WHEN THIS IS PROCESSING

So it turns on then off. Did you try opening it and spraying out the dust? Did you reflash the bios?
