Games like these made everything else part of the past. Wing commander / Privateer series definitely are the games I remember the most. Glued to the old 15" monitor like a fly on a flyswatter!

@brybish Mythic Entertainment bought them and promptly shut down everything they were working on. Now Mythic has been merged with Bioware so yeah, nothing gonna happen with these great IPs.
