  • Good video Pat. Was that at Wayne national if it was the only thing we use that water for is putting out campfire or rinsing off atv.

  • Yea it was near the door run atv trailhead. near where the bypass meets 33 north of nelsonville. check it out sometime

  • Were these mines dug on public or private land?

  • Well when this one was dug it was probably owned by a coal company. Then purchased by the national forest service. But there are situations where companies lease the mineral rights to public areas

  • That is horrible, glad to hear that there are laws against that now.

    5/5

  • too little too late in this case

  • excellent video...great insight on a interesting and thought-provoking topic in environmental chemistry. Thanks for the upload :)

  • Listen to the narrorator sniffling. Can this poison become airborne and affect ones respiratory health?

  • Cool I need to move to an area like this it should be bug free ! Thank God for King Coal a American fuel that provided American Jobs. Shame I was born to late after we killed all our industry & prosperity. Thanks to the silent and boomer generations we are a has been nation.

  • no wonder they let us ride there its already fucked up

  • @pk066392 yep yall r right!!!

  • i crossed that river on my 450:)

  • Awsome video man, thanks good info for my project.

  • Very very interesting. I always wondered what they called that stuff.

  • @roguepathfinder baking soda will help neutralize the acidity, but there are far worse things to worry about with that water. Heavy metals such as mercury, lead. Toxins such as arsenic are at high concentrations in this type of water. Iron, sulpher etc.... I would drink it nor would I allow my worst enemy to do so.

  • Take a trip thru northern Pennsylvania to see the forever residue of ancient coal mines. I used to go trout fishing in the un-spoiled waters, but now they are far and few between and way too crowded for my tastes.
