Update: As suggested by a viewer, I got in touch with a Lowes Store Manager and they were nice enough to take it back and I bought a bigger Belt Driven Cast Iron one. I'm very happy with this replacement.

  • As a replacement I got a 30 Gallon Belt Driven one, no complains on that one at all!

  • Based on @blueblurr4I's suggestion I emailed Lowes Corporate and the next day the Store Manager called me and asked to me bring the compressor back to the store with the proof of purchase. When I got there they credited my lowes card with the compressor's purchase amount with no hassle! I was able to use that to purchase a new Compressor! I guess I take back what I said to Lowes Customer Service....they do the care about their customers!!!!

  • @blueblurr4I Thanks for you input. I am really disappointed with this product. As suggested I will try to get in touch with Lowes Corporate...maybe they can help. Thanks again!

  • holy shit what a pos

  • dude great to see you have a positive outcome. It was a defect in the product. You are right about getting hurt. I have a compressor I bought from costco that was blowing off the regulater know all the time. The last time I had to dodge it from across the garage. Wound up rebuilding the whole switch and manafold. No problems now.

  • I don't like lowes,,, it happens to me when I got my washer pressure there I paid about $69.00 for extra insurance and then 15 days before expire something happen with the $400.00 machine , now they sent me to 2 places but nothing, everything expire and they said "well. too bad" so for that I will never buy there,, I going to Home depot or Harbor freigth tools,,,,,

  • you made a good choice to not buy kobalt toos ever again. They want way to much for cheep tools. They charge as much as craftsman for tools that are the quality of dollar store tools. (granted craftsman is really going downhill fast) But I have not had one kobalt tool I liked. I had a ratcheting screwdriver once. It felt like a toy. I was happy to see it go. oh and the "hassle free warranty" what a joke They asked for the packaging and my drivers license. just a huge hassle

  • @conatuslife I agree! I once had the same model here in the video and the piston seal failed. I ripped the pump off and custom installed a 2stage oil compressor on top of the tank. Worked flawless ever since.

  • more made in china crap

  • @plumber8484

stick to plumbing and not lawyering, its whoever sold it to you that retains the liability to replace it as long as its within warrenty, outside that it's buyer beware

  • that sucks, sorry about your experience, thanks for the info.

  • stay away from the direct drive oilless compressors they are not that good. stick with cast iron pumps that have an oil sump.

  • oil free compressors suck get a oil lubricated on they last way longer
