Believe it or not, that's actually James Baskett voicing Br'er Rabbit. Johnny Lee was called away to do a side project while they were recording the voices for the laughing place scene, so Baskett took over for him. In fact, the voice change is very noticable in that scene.
Lee's voice does return, however, during the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah reprise (the ending to the film).
