1. Jerusalem
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the Holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

2. British National Anthem
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen!

Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour,
Long may she reign!
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen!
God save the Queen!
God save the Queen!

3. Auld Lang Syne
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll take a cup o'kindness yet
For auld lang syne
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll take a cup o'kindness yet
For auld lang syne

  • Awesome! BTW, what we heard was Benjamin Britten's arrangement of the National Anthem of the United Kingdom 'God Save the Queen', not Sir Henry Wood's. Thanks for posting. Greetings to you and yours in the land of 'unity, justice and freedom' that is Germany from 'the land of the free and the home of the brave' that is the United States of America!

  • I dont speak or read German. Do you like or dislike this Fritz ?
