How To Configure T-Mobile EDGE Internet for iPhone

How to enable T-Mobile Internet on an unlocked iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, or iPhone 4. It works on firmware 3.0 and 4.0 (iOS4).
First you will need to add a data plan to your T-Mobile account. You can add T-Zones T-Mobile Web for $5.99 (this package is no longer available to add to new plans, it must've been added before). You can also one of the other data plans that T-Mobile offers.

Add these settings in Cellular Data Network in the APN field: wap.voicestream.com
or
internet2.voicestream.com
or
epc.tmobile.com

Leave username and password blank.
