just cos you had 'one bad experience' doesn't mean you should use it as an excuse not to bother with chivalry anymore. did you ever think that if everyone thinks like you, then chivalry will die even more? imagine if ppl stop caring about anything! i think you should keep practicing chivalry no matter what. who knows? u might even set a good example for others.

I'm pretty sure the only thing old ladies should be afraid of from Grimace is his gay mannerisms (which are not a bad thing Grimace, but old women tend to be afraid of gay people XD)

besides, they were raised in the age of chivalry! when they see "youngins nowadays" holding doors open for them instead of smoking pot, you would think they would be overjoyed from this miraculous return of chivalry!! XD

you just need to go find a huge line of people going out a door (or in one for that matter!) and hold it open for them!

if you can, try to hold both the inside door and the outside door open if there are two layers.

You'd be surprised how many people say thank you if you are making a funny display of it XD (because they think about it more I suppose)

or... just open the door for a long line of people the normal way - I even get guys saying thank you (sometimes for they're girlfriends LOL)

You're too cute to grimace besides opening the door is something that YOU chose to do out of kindness of course and I like that about you but it's like loaning friends money don't expect to be paid back and if you are then be pleasantly surprized.
