Cute Jappy Spitz

This is my Japanese Spitz, Cody (Codii)... He is quite old (5yo) but he's still my little baby... Here, he's just licking his nose after waking up... but trying to sleep again ^_^ hehe ^__^ so cute, eh?!!! His face looks more like a Samoyed rather than Jap Spitz, but his body size is Jap Spitz size... Although his face & big paw resemble those of Samoyed... I think he might be a mix =p

i have a japanese spitz, well sorta. i picked him up from the street when he was a puppy, i think he's a mix cause he's kinda big. buy has bright white fluffy hair with dark black contrasting eyes. he also looks alot like a spitz but his hair isnt that thick (he doesn't from a lions mane) he just has even thick hair. his name is Zeke.

we have a japanese spitz now.. we name her vanilla... they are so cute and very sweet.. she's just 2 years old..

they are different. :-) And 5 isn't old...my last one died at 16!

There are over a hundred different spitz breeds...the Samoyed is one of them, as is the Jap Spitz. The American Eskimo is another. 'Spitz' is a generic term like gundog or hound.

Wrong. The Spitz was some how bred from from the Smaoyed and a number of other similiar dogs but they are not the same
