Grishuk & Platov 1994 Olympic FD

There are some vids of this FD where the timing of the music is completely off (so it looks like they're behind the music). But this one with German commentary has it right. I personally think they've done better FD's but it's still an interesting program with underrated difficulty.

Overrated and overmarked for most of their career, but here the judges got it right. I thought they outskated Torvill & Dean.

I personally disagree. All of their wins were highly deserved but to me, this one was perhaps the most questionable.  This program has moments of brilliance and they showed up to this competition looking fit, ready, and super-prepared. But there were an awful lot of breaks in the choreography. I could understand any order of the top 3 that year.

They were sloppy, their footwork was difficult and soooo fast but not very well presented. If Torvill and Dean weren't given incorrect deductions they would have won. The flow and presentation of T&D's program is clearly better and their moves may have been done before but they were still more difficult and imaginative the G&Ps

@ThePlymouthgirl See what I wrote to 'nhojbew'. You may not be from United Kingdom, but you are obviously a fan of Torvill/Dean. I guess, that makes it hard to be objective, but it doesn't mean that you can't try. I too have my favourite figure skaters, but that doesn't make me think that they are the best at all times.
