    kkkk thankssss byeeeeeeee

  • if this engine has hydraulic lifters its probably a stuck/clogged or otherwise shitty lifter, if so the sound is from the lifter not pumping up and taking the lash out between push-rod and rocker arm, i had the same sound come and go on my 4.3l and finally got sick of it, found a few sticking lifters, their 19 bux a set of two at crappy tire, change em all and be done with it, dont bother dumping "miracle cure" junk in there to try and hide it, find the source, replace and enjoy. peace! n GL

  • Had the same problem with my chevy, which is what the engine looks like its out of an 88-98 chevy silverado and it's dead and gone. Blew the motor right out of it coming home from school one night. Chevy told me that the lifter problem was just carbon build up and it would be fine. Told them they were full of shit.

  • @ryn1010 Been there.

  • How much does it cost to fix this problem?

  • I've got an 04 durango 4.7L. Sounded EXACTLY LIKE THIS and even went away in about 3 or 4 minutes like yours. I had one lifter not pumping up. Changed it noise went away and has never come back. Tried every minute cure around. None worked

  • @33siae I was running 5-30 when the noise started. It only kicks in the morning for about four minutes. Put some sticky lifter additive still there. Went to 10-30 and it's still there. May be some marvel mystery oil will help?

  • Another time honoured lifter tick remedy is to put chicken beaks in the crankcase.

  • Hey, all of you missed the easiest fix. Just drive your vehical down to (or at least threaten to) a mechanic. He'll start is up and the noise vanishes!!!! He'll look at you and say, "Ok, what noise you talkin' 'bout?"

  • Hey, at least your compressor clutch works

  • check the cabin filter its common little mice get in there

  • definitely a muffler bearing!!!!! go with the chocolate syrup in the engine that should fix her right up!!
