Not really, I mean VALVe actually admitted the importance of Chell and whether she would play a vital role or not. Then there's that interview with Eric Wolpaw saying how Chell was now on the surface. You must admit my points make sense, when you look at the pieces and put them together.

It is still 100% possible that Portal 2's story arc takes place after Half-Life 2. I'm not trying to be too big of an analyst here; I'm just looking at it at face value.
